# What is Get paid

> GetPaid is Caratuva's self-service app for individual sellers and small businesses — create an invoice, share a link, get paid in Pix.

Get paid ([getpaid.caratuva.com](https://getpaid.caratuva.com)) is Caratuva's self-service product for sellers who just want to invoice a customer and receive the money in their bank account — no integration, no ERP, no API key.

You create an account, verify your identity, add your Pix key, and you're ready to send payment links. Your buyer pays by bank transfer; you receive BRL straight into your Pix.

  This section is for **sellers using the Get paid app directly**. If you're a platform, ERP, or marketplace integrating Caratuva's payments into your own product, see [Integrators / API](/api-reference/introduction) instead — the two products share the same underlying rails but different surfaces.

## Who Get paid is for

* **Freelancers and independent professionals** invoicing a client directly.
* **Small businesses** that want a payment link without building anything.
* **Anyone who wants to earn by referring sellers** — see the [affiliate program](/getpaid/affiliate).

If you're building invoicing or payments *into* your own platform for many merchants, you want the [API](/api-reference/introduction) instead of the Get paid app.

## What you get

## How it works, end to end

1. **[Create your account](/getpaid/quickstart)** at [getpaid.caratuva.com](https://getpaid.caratuva.com).
2. **Complete onboarding** — verify your identity (individual or business), accept our settlement partner's terms of service, and register your Pix key.
3. **[Create an invoice and share the payment link](/getpaid/create-invoice)** — your buyer opens it, pays by bank transfer.
4. **[Track the payment](/getpaid/tracking)** as it moves from pending to paid out.
5. Optionally, **[refer other sellers](/getpaid/affiliate)** with your link and earn a share of the fees they generate — for life.
